The superhero film has earned $472 million worldwide at the box office, including $139 million from domestic sales and $333 million from international sales, according to Box Office Mojo. As of Dec. 9, the film ranks as the eighth highest-grossing movie of 2024, positioned between Kung Fu Panda 4 and Wicked.

Venom: The Last Dance has received mixed reviews from both critics and audiences. The film currently holds a 41% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, while fans seemed to love the sequel much more, rating the movie at 81%.

Drew Taylor, a senior writer at The Wrap, called the third installment the best of the Venom movies. “It’s not perfect but it’s super entertaining and there’s a giant monster that chews people up and sprays blood out of the back of its head. Pretty nuts,” he wrote. Rotten Tomatoes-approved critic Josh Wilding praised Venom: The Last Dance as “the most cinematic, monumental #Venom movie to date.”
