Poland’s Road to World Cup 2026: Full Fixture List, Squad Updates & Key Matches.
After ending the Nations League at the bottom of their group table, Poland are now preparing for their World Cup qualifiers games. Starting this month, they will be playing 10 World Cup qualifying games till the end of the year. Hence, they will be determined to start this series with wins.
Especially after bundling their Nations League group-stage matches. It can’t be denied that Robert Lewandowski and Co. had some tough opponents in their group – Portugal, Croatia, and Scotland. Even so, only a single win and one draw in that campaign doesn’t inspire confidence.
However, they cannot lose sleep over those results with World Cup 2026 in the vision now. In their World Cup qualifying group, they have been drawn with Finland, Lithuania, and Malta. Hence, they have a good chance of ending up at the top of their group table if they take the chances well.

Poland Team News
Poland coach Michał Probierz has called up his choice of players for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Lithuania and Malta. The team, led by captain Robert Lewandowski, includes key inclusions such as Southampton defender Jan Bednarek and Aston Villa right-back Matty Cash.
As per the Polish state news agency PAP, Inter Milan midfielder Piotr Zieliński was called up and then sent back because of an injury that he suffered earlier this month in Serie A. Zieliński, who was closing in on his 100th international cap, is set to miss out on this international window as well.
On the other hand, Ludogorets Razgrad midfielder Jakub Piotrowski made his return to the National team after recovering from a long-term injury. The squad includes only one player from the Polish league — Lech Poznań goalkeeper Bartosz Mrozek. The coach opted out of calling in Plymouth’s Tymoteusz Puchacz and Legia Warsaw’s in-form Bartosz Kapustka.
